I do not think Chris's decision to run away to his mother is a good idea because I do not think he will be welcomed there by Roger. His mother also left because she could not handle him. I feel that she would try for a little bit, but ultimately give up again and secretly arrangef or his father to get him. Based on what I can infer, I do not think it will turn out good in the end.
ReplyDeleteI do not think it was a good idea for Chris to run away and live with his mother. I think his mother wont be happy to see him because she left her father and Chris. She left her family for Roger. Both Roger and his mother wont welcome him with open arms.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was a good idea for Chris to run away like that. He's been living with his father because his mother had left them, so why would she even want to see him? She's happy with Roger and doesn't want Chris in her life.
ReplyDeleteit was a good decision in the sense that it gives him more freedom to live his own life and make a future for himself, although it was extremely unfair for him to do that to his father. i think that if chris had said "dad look, i'm leaving to find mom, this is my choice and i'm going to stick to it." his father couldn't do anything about it, and would have had to just accept chris's desire and even helped him to achieve it.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, Chris should not have run away. His father loves him very much and has provided him not only necessities like food and shelter, but love and extra help (because of his Aspergers). Although he lied to Chris, he never left him like his mother did. She had a choice, and she chose Roger over Chris. I understand that he wanted to meet her, but abandoning the one person who was there for him his whole life was in no way the best choice.
