Is it ironic in here?
There is a certain irony inherent in the section we just read. Christopher is "different" because of his asperger's, but how would you describe all of the people around him? Are they "normal?" Weigh in in the comments section.

Amy's Question
If you were Chris's dad's place, what would you do when Chris found the letters from his mom?Would you have also told him about killing Wellington, or would you have kept that a secret for his own good?
Joe's Question

Jess's Question
Mrs. Boone has been writing letters to Christopher for some time now, letters that he hadn't even known existed, and hasn't gotten one reply or even heard anything from her ex-husband about how he was keeping her from her own son. How would you feel if you were her in this big mess?

My Question
When I read your writing the character seems to know what he likes and what he dislikes. You also made him really observant. I would have not guessed that the character is someone with special needs. How come you chose not to say that Christopher knows he is different?
#3 What would you ask?
Now that you have posted a letter to Chris and comments about Mr. Boone, create a question about the novel, about the author, or about autism, and post it. Then, answer your classmates' posts.
#2 Poor Mr. Boone
Some might say that Christopher's father made a mistake. What was it (there might be more than one)? What do you think he should do now?
#1 Chris's Discovery
Write a letter to Christopher in response to his discovery about his mother. Be sure to address it to Christopher, keeping in mind the details we know about him, and about Asperger's Syndrome.
Once you have published your own letter in the comments section, you may move on to the next post.
